Kelly Services is in of need of a Shift Supervisor for an excellent leadership opportunity in Boothwyn, PA!

This is a direct-hire role with a renowned manufacturer specializing in high-performance plastics.

Available Shifts & Location:

  • 1st & 2nd shift (7a-7p) or (7p-7a) 
  • Rate: $20/Hr

What's a typical day as a Shift Supervisor? You'll be:
  • Leading and supporting a team of production associates—machine operators, packers, material handlers, and more
  • Providing daily direction, assigning tasks, managing labor distribution, and ensuring staffing meets production needs
  • Training new team members and fostering cross-training throughout the department
  • Conducting performance discussions, giving real-time feedback, and collaborating with HR when needed
  • Managing day-to-day shift production to meet schedule, quality, and customer expectations
  • Overseeing machine startups/shutdowns, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with procedures
  • Monitoring output, scrap, downtime, and efficiency and driving corrective actions as necessary
  • Enforcing all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE usage, and equipment safety protocols
  • Assisting with safety talks, investigations, and corrective actions
  • Supporting quality assurance by facilitating checks, inspections, and documentation
  • Maintaining accurate shift reports, production logs, downtime records, and communicating updates to management
Qualifications:
  • 2–3+ years of hands-on leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, plastics, or industrial setting
  • Experience leading teams of 5–20+ employees preferred
  • Strong understanding of production processes, equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues
  • Effective communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and ERP/production systems
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and moving machinery
