Kelly Services is currently seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for one of our top clients in Oshkosh, WI.

JOB TITLE: Sr. Mechanical Engineer
WORK LOCATION:  Oshkosh, WI
DURATION:   6 Months (Temporary / Contract) – Possible extension
PAY RATE:  $60 - $64 per hour W2

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, practical curiosity, and a passion for problem solving. This role offers the opportunity to work with complex systems and technologies, from design and integration to testing and validation, while contributing to innovative solutions in a dynamic engineering environment.

Minimum Requirements
• Full-time, onsite presence required.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on curiosity and problem-solving approach.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program in one of the following disciplines:
o Mechanical Engineering
o Electrical Engineering
o Aerospace Engineering
o Systems Engineering
o Software Engineering

• Experience applying root-cause problem-solving methodologies.
• Background in electro-mechanical system integration.
• Hands-on experience with product testing, test labs, or hardware-in-the-loop testing environments.
• Strong technical writing skills with experience creating engineering documentation.
• Familiarity with data acquisition tools and post-processing techniques.

• Proficiency with 3D CAD design tools and modeling.
• Prior exposure to military combat systems.

Job Description
The Sr Mechanical Engineer – Mechanical designs functional, reliable and cost effective, heavy duty vehicle components. Perform engineering analysis and design or re-design, and development of components into existing and new vehicles. Provide integration and execution support for vehicle and component design.

YOUR IMPACT:
Under supervision, perform engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned.

Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity.
May be responsible for managing multiple projects.
Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers, designers, or technicians working on a common project.
Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.
Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards. Ensure that technical issues are conducted within the framework of company policies and procedures.
Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
Perform and Directs preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
Perform engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials that meet requirements.
Provide technical assistance for production support.
Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication.
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.
Create and maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records.
Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to calculate or model system performance and optimize designs.
Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering and communicate status via verbal or written communication.

Other duties as assigned.
Regular attendance is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency with 3D CAD design tools and modeling.
Prior exposure to military combat systems.
Knowledge of video signal design and transmission systems.
Experience applying root-cause problem-solving methodologies.
Background in electro-mechanical system integration.
Hands-on experience with product testing, test labs, or hardware-in-the-loop testing environments.
Strong technical writing skills with experience creating engineering documentation.
