Staff Accountant
Location: Dallas, Texas (off LBJ Freeway)
M-F, 8am - 5pm / fully on-site
Pay: $25-30hr / Temp-to-hire
Kelly Services is seeking a personable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible initially for establishing customer account information in NetSuite and collecting open receivables for this startup company. This will be the primary focus of this role initially due to the high volume of accounts. Eventually, the role could expand to G/L accounting in NetSuite ERP, covering areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, expense reports, fixed assets, and month-end closing. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, be fluent in MS Excel, and possess strong data analysis and reconciliation abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contacting new customers and collecting accounting contact information to input into NetSuite as well as providing W-9, invoice and statement information to the customer for them to make payments.
- Accounts Receivable: Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
- General Ledger Accounting: Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Accounts Payable: Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Cash Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, including bank reconciliations and cash forecasting.
- Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Fixed Assets: Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records, including depreciation calculations.
- Month-End Closing: Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Data Analysis and Reconciliation: Analyze and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in G/L accounting, NetSuite ERP experience a big plus.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
