Position: Technical Writer

Location: Hybrid (work onsite 3x/week, work remotely 2x/week)

Job Responsibilities:
 

  • Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish technical specifications and determine subject material for publication.
  • Work on the maintenance, creation, reuse, and salvage of documents for our dealer network.
  • Utilize Arbotext, ACM, and other systems to evaluate, maintain, and create technical documents.
  • Pull prints of dimensions and communicate with product group engineers for direction.

Required Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and excellent customer service.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of English language structure, composition, and grammar.
  • Understanding of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Adobe, JavaScript, Oracle, etc.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Excellent entry level opportunity!
  • 0-2 years of experience in technical writing or related field.

Preferred Technical Skills:
  • Comfort with comprehending and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of machining and blueprint reading.
  • Experience authoring technical documents.
  • Familiarity with tools like HVC, ACM, Canvas, Vis Mock-Up.
  • Knowledge of drivetrain components and systems.

Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proactive in updating others on work status and seeking help when needed.
