Technician Opening in Bangor, Maine
(Temp Assignment)

Location: Bangor, ME 04401
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Rate: $19 - $21 per hour

We are looking for a 40-hour per week technician for a temporary assignment due to a current employee's leave of absence. The ideal candidate will have experience as a wheelchair technician, but if not, we are looking for someone with general experience using hand tools and basic power tools.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Assist with wheelchair repairs, equipment assembly, and other technician tasks.
• Perform warehouse duties such as shipping/receiving, inventory support, and unboxing packages.
• Work closely with customers and clients who are disabled, including potential branch and road deliveries of equipment.
• Help with cleaning and tidying the warehouse.
• Assist the technician with two-person jobs and other hands-on tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools (experience with standard metric tools is a plus).
• Valid driver's license (company vehicle provided).
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive work ethic.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.

Note: This is a temp position while a technician is on leave, with the possibility of a long-term role depending on performance.
