Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology and Telecom a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, is currently seeking Test Engineer for a long-term engagement at one of our Global Orthopaedics clients located in West Palm Beach, FL. 
Our Clientprovides one of the most comprehensive Orthopaedics portfolios in the world that helps heal and restore movement for millions of patients.

Test Engineer-The Mechanical Test Engineer contributes to the research, design characterization, verification and risk assessment of medical device products. The engineer will work closely with R D engineering and Quality engineering to develop concepts and designs as well as assist in developing test fixtures, test methods, protocols, and performing discovery tests and verification activities. This is a hands-on role that touches on various engineering disciplines required for the formal testing of complex medical devices and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and customer, procedures and guidelines, this position.
  • Procure and assemble electromechanical components and test apparatus in order to build, modify, test, and troubleshoot medical devices and instruments.
  • Fabricate test fixtures, set up tests, conduct tests, analyze data, and perform failure analysis per supplied test procedure or instructions.
  • Develop test methods that meet complex requirement intent including but not limited to test plans, protocol development, fixture development, test method validation, data analysis, test report and summary document generations
  • Perform investigational tests to support new product development and quality investigation or to improve product design
  • Perform verification tests to support regulatory submissions Clearly and professionally communicate test findings, technical challenges and proposed resolutions to teams Read and interpret engineering documentation, e.g., simple schematics, drawings, specifications, procedures, and reports.
  • Operate bench-top laboratory equipment and simple test setups in a safe and effective manner.
  • Work in an agile development environment, including managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.
Experience and Education
  • 4-6 years of related experience and a Bachelor s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in the Medical Device industry.
  • Experience with data processing and statistical analyses is required
  • Experience with technical writing is required
  • Knowledge of current ASTM/ISO test standards is required Knowledge of regulatory guidelines is preferred
