Thread Roller Operator / Screw Machinist
1st Shift with Overtime
$25-35/hr (depending on experience)
Location: Wood Dale, IL
Requirements for Thread Roller Operator/Screw Machinist:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of relevant experience operating thread rolling machines
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and an effective communicator (written and verbal)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to use basic computer programs
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8-10 hours/day
What's a typical day as a Thread Roller Operator/Screw Machinist? You'll be:
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure accurate production
  • Reviewing and validating materials such as wire grade and diameter
  • Setting up, troubleshooting, and operating cold heading machines
  • Using machine controls, SPC & process monitoring systems for efficiency and quality
  • Checking dimensional and attribute characteristics of headed blanks using micrometers, calipers, and gages
  • Maintaining quality records and completing required documentation
  • Following instructions from supervisors and team leaders
  • Ensuring good housekeeping of equipment and assigned work areas
  • Performing daily and weekly maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition
