Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Worker (with Driving Duties Upon Hire)
Location: Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $17–$19/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Full-Time 8am-5pm 

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Shipping & Receiving Worker to join our team. This role will start as a warehouse-based position focused on shipping and receiving operations. Once hired on permanently, driving duties will be added to support local deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unpack, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.

  • Package and prepare outgoing shipments using appropriate methods and documentation (e.g., packing lists, bills of lading).

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular reconciliation and cycle counts.

  • Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (certification preferred).

  • Organize and maintain clean, safe, and efficient warehouse space.

  • Make local deliveries to customers and vendors (driving duties to be added post-hire).

  • Adhere to all company and safety policies.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers.

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of warehouse/shipping & receiving experience.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.

  • Experience using RF scanners is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.

  • Must be comfortable working in a moderately noisy warehouse environment.
