$21 plus per hr.
Hours 6:30am-4:30pm M-Thursday
Contract to Hire thru Kelly Services.

What's a typical day as a Welder? You'll be:
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools including tape, string line square, level, saws, grinders, drills, welders, and an overhead crane.
• Reading and comprehending blueprints, bill of materials, customer specifications, weld procedures, and written instructions.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area, adhering to safety procedures, and operating equipment in the safest way possible.
• Passing 100% x-ray jobs with a 99% pass rate.
• Making RT and UT weld repairs.
• Setting up and running 3G - GM14W and/or 3G - FC8.
• Executing weld procedures to meet code and customer specifications within allocated hours.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Have successfully completed internal welding certification.
• Have 5+ years of experience fabricating ASME code products.
• Have experience with GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, and SAW welding processes.
• Have good oral and written communication skills, time management, and organizational skills.
• Have a strong technical aptitude with good problem-solving skills.
• Are willing to undergo pre-employment and random drug tests.
• Are able to acquire and maintain the required tools specified for the Welder position.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Be an example throughout the organization in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and work habits.
• Support Continual Improvement Projects.
• Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
• Support company policy and goals.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/fabrication environment, with the possibility of evening and weekend work.
• Ability to stand, sit, and/or walk on a hard surface, as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use a ladder.
• Ability to reach overhead and have full range of mobility in the upper and lower body.
• Ability to repeat various motions with the wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Ability to work in an uncontrolled climate environment (heat, cold, and humidity).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull 100 pounds following safety procedures.
• Vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
