Shift Schedule:
• 2nd shift – Monday to Friday, from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Pay rate:
• $23.00 per hour

What's a typical day as a Welder? You'll be:
• Interpreting shop drawings/blueprints
• Reading a tape measure
• Setting up MIG/MP welding machine
• GMAW/FCAW welding (MIG and Flux-Core) Mild Steel
• Using power tools - drill, impact driver, angle grinder, etc.
• Basic construction skills
• Working from ladders and scissor lifts, wearing fall protection
• Wearing a respirator

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have basic knowledge of welding processes, such as gas metal arc, plasma arc, and resistance welding
• Have basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Have experience welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
• Are able to operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments
• Can monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material
• Are able to examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
• Have experience with hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment
• Can determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques
• Are able to repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torches, straightening presses, and hand tools
