At Kraton, we make a Positive Difference, and we are looking for individuals who are also looking to make a difference in their jobs, for our customers and to the world.  We are looking to hire a key member of our Global Product Management team at our Jacksonville, Florida location or at our Almere, The Netherlands location.

 

The Product Manager is the key link between the Business Unit and other internal service groups, especially Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, Regulatory, etc. ensuring that the detailed plans and tactics are implemented as intended and any problems are communicated, resolved and that the full organization has a line of sight to the customer. The position therefore has a direct and daily impact on business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize the balance between refinery raw materials and derivatives to maximize overall margins - work with commercial and supply chain to implement.
  • Liase with strategic marketing to understand Kraton's Long Range Plan and design implementation plans to ensure success.
  • Recommend long-term strategic options for raw materials, product portfolio, capacity expansions, cost reduction projects, external partners, and acquisitions/divestments in alignment with the business strategies.
  • Work with operations to develop improvement programs that increase capacity or flexibility or provide Kraton and our customers with a higher level of supply security. 
  • Maintain the product portfolio in line with the strategic intent of the business and ensure products and their specifications meet the needs of the market.
  • Develop the strategy to implement product and/or product line rationalizations in concert with business strategy, working with commercial and supply chain to ensure an optimal exit from the product (line)/ market segment concerned.
  • Lead or actively participate in Innovation projects at Kraton.  Ensure the smooth introduction of new products into Kraton's portfolio and to the market through execution of the launch plan.
  • Maintain current specifications and Product Data Sheets for all assigned products. When market/customer or operationally driven changes are required, liaise with all parties to ensure that the change is acceptable and implemented smoothly.
  • Author written customer communication around changes by collaborating with legal, quality, supply planning and commercial to send appropriate notifications.
Required Skills
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in a global chemical organization
  • Work experience with multiple organizations / interaction with multiple organizations like S&OP, marketing, operations, regulatory and finance
  • Exposure to refinery economics and balancing
  • Good financial mindset including analysis, forecasting process knowledge and planning
Education, Certifications & Licenses
  • Bachelor Degree, Science, Engineering or Business preferred
