Pay Range for this position is: $120,000-$180,000 plus annual bonus, depending on experience.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Systems Developer reports to the director Systems Development , and is based out of our Cherry Hill, New Jersey location. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing applications and programs for the backend processing systems used. Test hard and software systems and diagnose and resolve system faults.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Support all corporate Business Systems via business application development in Progress 4GL and provide integration between business and industrial systems.
- Interviews prospective users with regard to system needs, and programs systems to meet user needs. Participates in system reviews with consultants and implements recommended system changes that will improve system effectiveness.
- Monitors system projects and reports progress to the manager.
- Must be able to be proactive to identify issues, and clearly communicate and work with both internal and external customers to bring them to the proper resolution
- Provides QAD developmental programming support in Progress 4GL for ancillary system interfacing
- Maintain security and access rights in the QAD ERP system environment
- Develop browses and maintain menu structures in QAD .Net environment
- Provide backup support for other QAD programming staff as needed
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Progress 4GL Programming, SQL (Structured Query Language), Linux/UNIX skills to support major business systems
- Research skills to be able to “get to the root of the problem”. Critical thinker that can evaluate and analyze programs to ensure proper functioning and recommend and institute changes where necessary. The most difficult aspect of this position is understanding the issue at hand as often do not provide sufficient information to demonstrate their need
- Must be able to provide support in a help desk role
- Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task
- Able to receive direction and follow through
- Ability to communicate and articulate issues and solutions
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Proven organizational skills

- Experience with ERP Systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.
FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.
OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 – 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.
VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
