Job SummaryLeonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Integrated Logistics Support Managers (ILSM) for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This position is responsible for supporting all logistics efforts as well as leading a team of logisticians, trainers, publication authors and field support personnel to completion of projects. This support will be applied to a variety of military programs including navigation systems, land systems, communication and control systems as well as other programs.
Job Responsibilities- Leads a team of Logistics Engineers, Trainers, Technical Publication writers, and field support personnel to the completion of complex projects
- Responsible for independently leading all logistics efforts including monitoring of cost, budget, schedule, and performance
- Forecasts and plans logistics assigned project team workloads, budgets, and tasks
- Ensure compliance and quality with all project logistics requirements based on customer needs
- Coordinates logistics support program activities in the areas of spares, technical data, test equipment, field service, training, field and in-house modification programs, technical manual development, provisioning, and change control with customers
- Analyzes engineering change documentation to determine applicability and scope of effort on logistics support activities
- Mentor and coach less experienced logisticians
- Attends engineering, marketing, and program management meetings to provide support planning guidance and requirements
- Travel up to 20% to support ogistics demonstrations, technical manual validation/verification, government test events, program management reviews and other customer/supplier visits as needed to progress project milestones. Durations can vary from a few days to several months depending on the complexity of the event
- Responsible to present complicated logistics support and system design interrelation topics ranging from informal one on one discussions to executive level and large audiences
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Bachelor's degree in science or related technical field or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
- 3+ years of experience working in logistics support (ILS)
- US Citizenship required and ability to obtain DoD clearance now or within 6 months
- Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment
- Must possess strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Must have good communication skills, both oral and written
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide leadership guidance
- Ability to make decisions and handle complex issues in a timely manner
- Ability to travel up to 20% as required
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
The expected pay scale for this position is $90,673.00/year - $140,769.00/year for the state of Illinois. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly. When extending an offer of employment, Leonardo DRS considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate's relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.
