Lankenau Medical Center, Wynnewood, PA (Philadelphia suburbs)
Position Overview:
Lankenau Medical Center is seeking an experienced and passionate OB/GYN Faculty Member to join our esteemed residency program. With a cohort of 16 residents, and over 25 volunteer faculty members, this role offers a unique opportunity to blend clinical practice with resident education, shaping the future of obstetrics and gynecology.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice (0.7 FTE):
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, delivery, postpartum care, and gynecologic surgeries.
- Participate in labor and delivery coverage, including on-call responsibilities.
- Conduct outpatient consultations and follow-up visits.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Call not to exceed 1:6/7
Educational Duties (0.3 FTE):
- Serve as a preceptor for residents, offering hands-on training and mentorship in clinical and surgical settings.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the residency curriculum under direction of the residency program director in compliance with ACGME standards.
- Conduct educational sessions, including lectures, case discussions, and simulation training.
- Evaluate resident performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and conference presentations.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification/eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Commitment to teaching and mentoring residents.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience a plus but not required
