Account Manager Retail & Commerce Overview

The Account Management team executes a clear and insight-driven strategy to ensure the realization of business opportunities across multiple Issuers cards units in Chile as jointly identified with the customers.

Role

Execute a clear and insight-driven strategy to ensure the realization of business opportunities across multiple Issuers cards units in Chile as jointly identified with the customers. Research, identify and develop potential business opportunities and present them to the customer's management. Leverage and drive Mastercard resources in the process of identification and execution of such opportunities.

Responsible for the business development and relationship management for Issuers in Chile:
 Manage the negotiation process of business proposals with Customer
 Delivery Revenue targets, assure accurate forecasting
 Manage the successful completion of individual deals
 Enhance the customer relationship by ensuring multiple points –of-entry between Mastercard and the customer that cuts across functional areas and delivers customized solutions and provide value to Issuers while maintaining regular customer contact at the senior management level.

Develop clear and compelling issuing propositions to carry out Issuer projects including:
 Core credit (with focus on Affluent), Debit, LVP, etc.
 Commercial programs (global CPS projects, SMEs, etc.)
 Identify opportunities within Merchants and Retail business units
 Innovative solutions (Passkeys, Click to Pay, Dynamic Yield, etc.)
 Support Switch and VAS implementation

• Development of innovative solutions through a thorough understanding of the customer's business needs and issues;

• Prioritize customer needs and determine the best mix of talent and creative solutions to deliver those needs and resolve issues with excellence and timely manner, selling the idea to the customer and managing the support teams within Mastercard.

• Act as an influential voice in strategy development highlighting key customer issues and trends, and technology and competitors trends that are relevant to proposition development within Mastercard.

• Provide the Account Leadership with appropriate account and market intelligence to assure with effective strategy and planning actions. Incorporate all Mastercard's critical functions to support into the customer planning process and execution efforts.

All About You

To be successful at this position you should demonstrate strong relationship management skills, prior extensive experience in Business Development and Sales, solid financial services knowledge (credit card experience preferred – must be able to integrate knowledge across all disciplines, such as marketing, risk and operations for the benefit of the customer )
Analytical skills, conceptual thinking, conflict and problem resolution, high-level negotiation skills, strategic planning and influencing skills complete the profile.
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related area (Master's degree in Business preferred)
Fluency in English is mandatory.
