Title and Summary
Director, Government Affairs & Policy, Global Operations OverviewThe Director of Global Operations for the Government and Policy (GAP) team will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the operational and financial aspects of our initiatives on a global scale. This role will sit on the expanded Office of Government Engagement team in Washington, DC and report directly to the Government Engagement Head and Chief of Staff of the Chief Government Affairs and Policy Officer.
Role
- Support the Chief Government Affairs Officer and Chief of Staff in integrating public policy priorities across business units, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement global standard operating procedures to ensure consistency in reporting, briefing, and operational workflows across regions.
- Oversee global budget management and resource allocation, ensuring effective prioritization and alignment with business objectives across markets.
- Define key performance indicators to measure operational effectiveness, budget utilization, and efficiency, delivering regular insights to executive leadership.
- Identify and implement continuous process improvements to enhance internal workflows, cross-team coordination, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee engagement with external vendors, service providers, and third-party partnerships, ensuring proper onboarding, contract renewal, and evaluation to ensure efficiency and support across regions.
- Support the growth and transformation of the function by leveraging technology-driven solutions and partnering with regional GAP leaders to drive enhanced cross-regional collaboration and cohesive global execution of strategic government affairs and policy initiatives.
- Oversee global financial operations and implement data-driven processes to streamline resource allocation, optimize budget planning, ensure accurate forecasting, and maximize impact across regional markets.
- Formally evaluate and report on established KPIs to drive continuous improvement of financial processes and operational performance.
All About You
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven record in a leadership role with a focus on operations and financial management, preferably within public policy, government affairs, or regulatory compliance in a large global organization.
- Experience managing operations on a global scale and coordinating across organizational boundaries to achieve an outcome, understanding diverse regulatory environments and cultural nuances.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex operational and financial concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with a focus on strategic problem-solving and decision-making.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as RACI and process flows and experience designing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
