Overview

Job Title
Director, Program Manager
Technology Strategy and Transformation (TST) program is looking for a Director, Program Manager (PM) responsible for currently owning and driving the projects and support related activities across the TST program.
• Agile Workforce Management (Rally/Jira, and Aha) including the migration from Rally to Jira Cloud.
• Managing Agile Workforce Management team responsible for maintaining and configuring the tools.
• PM and TPM work related to Technology Business Management (TBM) data flows and processing.
• PM and TPM work related to other TST initiatives

The Role
Successfully deliver major projects and complex assignments with broad scope and long-term business implications. Our PMs conceptualize, rationalize, and drive multiple simultaneous projects to deliver engineering and non-engineering work across the portfolio. You will contribute to the strategies and design choices to build comprehensive believable and achievable execution plans to deliver new features and capabilities for our customers. You will supervise and manage PMs and TPMs that will drive the execution on broadly impacting features.

All about you
• Well versed in multiple Agile workflow tools, specifically with JIRA and Aha!
• Have a passion for people management to manage PMs and TPMs that will support the build, operation and maintenance software to meet business needs
• Obsessed with results, and effectively communicate the objectives and how success will be measured to the team members.
• Develop and drive metrics for team delivery through in-house and vendor (SaaS) based tools.
• Guide, mentor & coach the team(s) on Agile Scrum, SaFe and TDD principles
• Remove impediments with the right sense of urgency, or guide teams in doing so
• Build a trusting and safe environment for the team where problems are discussed without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving
• Coordinate with cross functional teams within MasterCard across locations to ensure project success
• Being keenly aware of what is being delivered by the team and why, and the big program picture
• Maintain, Radiate and Present project related information, & metrics for leadership review
• Recommend strategic direction, continuous improvements and policy changes.
• Advance operational and business concerns or issues relative to future business programs, projects, or enhancements that may affect consistent delivery of quality services.
• Lead Project/Program management activities around cost, schedule, quality etc.
• Own collection and reporting of platform metrics
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of successful program management and/or technical program delivery experience
• 5+ years of experience in using JIRA or similar agile tooling
• Understanding of dependency management across a large enterprise
• Knowledge of multiple software development concepts and Methodologies
• Detail-oriented, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
• Strong communication skills - both verbal and written – and strong relationship, collaboration skills

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. O'Fallon, Missouri: $128,000 - $205,000 USD New York City, New York: $154,000 - $246,000 USD
