Overview
Regulatory Affairs is seeking an experienced regulatory compliance professional to join our team and lead the regulatory compliance program for Mastercard Transaction Services' regulated payment services in the European Union (EU) and Asia Pacific (AP).

The ideal candidate is a seasoned compliance champion and people leader, with experience overseeing regulatory compliance programs.

Role
The Director, Regulatory Compliance will lead a team charged with executing the regulatory compliance strategy for our account-to-account cross-border activity and ensuring compliance with money transmission and other payment services regulations in the EU and AP.

The role will require strong leadership, collaboration and execution to ensure regulatory compliance across the business.

Key activities include:
• Drive the Mastercard Transaction Services regulatory compliance strategy.
• Lead EU and AP-based regulatory compliance professionals to meet local regulatory compliance requirements.
• Oversee, with the support of key internal stakeholders (e.g., AML Compliance, Information Security, Technology, Finance), ongoing regulatory supervision including reporting, change, and examinations.
• Provide subject matter expertise on the implementation/enhancement of controls (e.g., policies, processes, procedures) to ensure compliance with applicable law.
• Maintain strong industry knowledge of regulations, changes, trends and impacts to the business.

All About You
• Proven track record in developing and managing regulatory compliance programs for large banks or non-bank financial institutions.
• Experience managing regulator supervision.
• Solution-oriented and able to work flexibly, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven success in navigating a multi-national organization and operating effectively within a diverse multicultural organization.
• Knowledge of EU and/or AP payment services regulations and license requirements is a plus.
