Position Overview
As part of the EEMEA Business Excellence function, the Director, Strategy and Analytics will report directly to the VP of Strategy, Analytics, and M&A. In this highly strategic role, the Director will lead the development and execution of regional and market-specific strategies that drive Mastercard's growth across key customer segments, products, and geographies. The role is critical in providing actionable insights through advanced analytics and positioning Mastercard as a market leader across the EEMEA region.

Role Responsibilities
• Drive the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies across key markets in the EEMEA region to support Mastercard's long-term growth objectives. Align these strategies with the global business goals and the regional revenue targets.
• Lead the design and enhancement of advanced analytics dashboards and Business Intelligence platforms to provide data-driven insights that inform key business decisions and optimize performance.
• Oversee the identification of market trends, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities to shape strategic direction and drive innovation in product and service offerings across the region.
• Partner with senior executives across EEMEA and global business units to drive the execution of key strategic initiatives. Ensure alignment across functions, including Finance, Product, Marketing, and Sales, to drive shared outcomes and measurable success.
• Spearhead the implementation of cross-sell strategies across EEMEA, ensuring alignment with APEMEA's strategic vision and leveraging synergies to drive increased customer value and revenue growth.
• Lead the preparation of quarterly operational reviews (QoRs), earnings reports, and ad-hoc strategic presentations for senior leadership, ensuring data is presented in a clear and compelling format for executive decision-making.
• Play an active role in supporting M&A efforts by identifying potential acquisition targets, assessing inorganic growth opportunities, and integrating strategic insights into deal evaluations.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, analytical rigor, and strategic thinking across the organization.

Key Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in leading the development of high-impact strategies in a top-tier strategy consulting firm at Engagement Manager level, or within a corporate strategy function covering strategy and analytics.
• Extensive experience and knowledge in Payment industry is a must.
• Expertise in advanced data analysis, with a strong ability to turn complex datasets into actionable insights. Advanced proficiency in Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau is required to build sophisticated models that support decision-making.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and strategies to senior executives in a clear and impactful manner. Strong experience in creating high-quality presentation decks that influence decision-making.
• A strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to identify innovative solutions to complex business challenges, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and influence cross-functional teams, build relationships with senior stakeholders, and align strategic initiatives with broader business objectives.
• Proven track record in managing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously while leading and mentoring high-performing teams to ensure successful delivery of outputs.
• Deep understanding of key business drivers and the ability to align analytics and strategy initiatives with overarching organizational goals. Experience in working across a matrixed environment is highly desirable.
• A high degree of adaptability and agility, with a strong ability to move quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring swift and effective decision-making.
