Title and Summary
Director, Technology Account Management Overview:The Technology Account Management (TAM) role, focused on external partners, is aligned with the Mastercard account teams. TAM team members are responsible for all aspects of the technology and operational relationship with the customer and are responsible for the customer's overall operational relationship with Mastercard. This position will work directly with a number of issuers, acquirers and/or processors within US Markets and serve as an internal liaison with the Global Product & Solutions, Product Delivery, Solution Sales and Operations & Technology (O&T) teams. This TAM team member must have a thorough understanding of the customer's business plans, operational environments and use of Mastercard's products/services. Ongoing responsibilities may include defining & initiating new system development needs, coordinating/assessing customer service, and ensuring flawless project execution by respective O&T functional areas.
Role:
• Be the primary operational and technical contact and advocate for the customer internal to Mastercard
• Collaborate with customers to develop, monitor and report against joint operational and technical objectives.
• Partner with Product Delivery, Sales, Market Development, Global Products & Solutions, Operations & Technology, and all other functional units throughout Mastercard, to manage and/or facilitate the internal development and implementation of any new product and/or technology enhancement.
• Oversee Mastercard activity related to the technology design and implementation of customer projects to ensure customers' and Mastercard's needs are met.
• Review applicable Mastercard information regarding changes or proposed changes to Mastercard rules, products, tools, and services (per bulletins, releases and manuals) with operational and technical customer contacts; provide feedback as the voice of the customer to internal partners
• Identify customer operational and technical needs and arrange for training and communication of operational enhancements.
• Drive customers and internal staff to ensure compliance with all Mastercard technology enhancements • Conduct periodic operational and fraud reviews
• Accountable for customers overall operations satisfaction and integration with Mastercard.
All About You:
• Ability to work effectively across the operational and technical spectrums of the customer's organization as well as internally at Mastercard.
• Ability to grasp technology details and translate that into solutions to problems and/or to address business opportunities.
• Project management, implementation, technology, and operations skills required.
• Knowledge of credit, debit, and commercial card operations with emphasis on authorizations, clearing, settlement, commercial products and fraud and risk management desirable.
• Must demonstrate effective leadership, teamwork, communication, and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical/problem solving and planning skills.
• Knowledge of the business drivers, technology solutions and players, Mastercard products & rules and competitive solutions within the US market would be a plus.
• College education or equivalent work experience with emphasis on business, and information technology and/or bankcard industry experience.
• Travel will be required (up to 25%).
