Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for our high-revenue data engineering product, making key architectural decisions and driving technical strategy.
- Design and architect scalable data pipelines and systems using Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, and NiFi to handle massive financial datasets.
- Lead technical discussions on implementation approaches, system design, and technology selection.
- Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architectural guidance, and establishing engineering best practices.
Agile Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and actively participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation workshops, and retrospectives.
- Facilitate technical discussions around story breakdown, effort estimation, and implementation approaches.
- Champion issue triage and resolution, ensuring rapid response to production concerns.
- Partner closely with Product, Data Science, and Software Engineering teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Data Engineering Excellence
- Build and optimise complex data pipelines, architectures, and datasets that support critical business decisions.
- Perform sophisticated root cause analysis on data quality issues and system performance bottlenecks.
- Architect data transformation processes, metadata management systems, and workflow orchestration.
- Lead initiatives in data governance, quality assurance, and system reliability engineering.
