Title and Summary

Manager, Product Development Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.

The Cyber Security Services Program is looking for a skilled and motivated Product Owner to join our team. As a Product Owner, you will collaborate closely with the Lead Product Manager to execute specific tasks that are critical to the success of a project. You will be responsible for ensuring development teams deliver high-quality work that aligns with business requirements, removing blockers, and keeping all stakeholders informed on project progress. The Product Owner plays a key role by advocating for best outcome for program, product, and customers by balancing demand with resources to deliver the highest value to the organization within an achievable timeline. This person will be responsible for implementing the product roadmap by translating business requirements to engineering teams and managing the Epics throughout the software engineering lifecycle. ​

The projects assigned to this role may change throughout the year based on prioritization decisions by senior leadership, requiring adaptability and proactive engagement with shifting business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collaborate with the Lead Product Manager Lead to manage tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
· Ensure development aligns with the project's goals and vision, maintaining a clear and accurate product backlog.
· Monitor project progress, identify potential blockers, and proactively work to resolve them.
· Act as the main point of contact between the business and development teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
· Regularly report on project status, timelines, and deliverables to key stakeholders.
· Evangelize the product goals from the customer perspective (voice of the customer) with all internal and external stakeholders.
· Ensures we are building to meet Program and Product Objectives.
· Owns ideation sessions and coordinates high level solutioning efforts with Business Architecture and internal solutioning teams.
· Manages Program and C&I Intake to ensure optimal resource allocation , timeline commitments, external team dependencies, cross C&I synergies and efficiencies.​
· Break down business requirements and high level solutioning into deliverable Epics in conjunction with the Engineering Team.
· Refinement of Epics (Exploration/Elaboration)
· Prioritization of Features.
· Epic handover to scrum team.
· Own Delivery Roadmap and prioritization to drive release planning.
· Ensures features developed meet requirements.
· Provides transparency into delivery status, risks, and external team engagement.
· Follow Mastercard Standards and Platforms processes.
· Participate in scrum ceremonies as need and Product Development team activities.

SKILLS
· Strong communicator both written and oral.
· Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision.
· Build Partnerships across teams and mediate conflict.
· A proactive mindset with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
· Expert knowledge in Software Engineering Lifecycle.
· AHA experience preferable, but not required.
· Ability to manage priorities and delegate tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Adaptable to change.

Total Base Pay Range

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
