Title and Summary

Manager, Product Management - Product Discovery and Strategy Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. The Identity Solutions team leads the development and delivery of innovative products that help partners identify their customers and enable simple and secure digital experiences for consumers in payments and beyond.

We are seeking a strategic and customer-centric Product Manager to lead the development, positioning, and go-to-market execution of our data-driven products. This role requires a strong product narrative mindset, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver impactful solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping the product vision, driving customer discovery, and ensuring successful product adoption.

Role:
• Define and articulate a clear product narrative aligned with customer needs and business goals.
• Develop buyer personas and use them to guide product positioning and messaging.
• Collaborate with marketing to ensure a cohesive and compelling product story across all channels.
• Go-to-Market Execution:
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive product adoption and market penetration.
• Create pricing and bundling strategies based on market analysis and customer value.
• Support the creation of product collateral including presentations, blogs, whitepapers, and sales enablement materials.
• Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
• Perform industry benchmarking and competitive analysis to inform product strategy and differentiation.
• Collaborate with regional teams and market-facing functions to gather customer insights.
• Facilitate customer discovery sessions to understand pain points, goals, and product opportunities.
• Represent the product at conferences and customer events, delivering compelling narratives and gathering feedback.
• Conduct data-driven analysis to support pricing models, revenue forecasting, KPI tracking, and reporting.
• Use insights to refine product strategies and optimize market performance.
• Work closely with product development, customer success, sales, marketing, and regional product teams to ensure alignment and successful product launches.
• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.

About You:
• Proven experience in launching and managing products, preferably in the technology or software industry.
• Strong understanding of the payments industry, digital payments, and ecommerce fraud is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to craft and communicate a compelling product narrative.
• Experience with buyer persona development, product discovery, and voice of the customer initiatives.
• Skilled in pricing strategy, competitive analysis, and market research.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to represent the product externally.
• Proficiency in marketing tools and data analysis software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Management, Product Marketing, Business Administration (MBA), or equivalent experience. Vancouver, Canada: $108,000 - $173,000 CAD
