Title and Summary

Payroll Compliance Manager Overview:
Lead the compliance delivery for the GBSC P&C organization delivering transaction excellence and “priceless” customer service, creating value and contributing to the overall business impact of MasterCard's multi-function GBSC.

Role:

Program Governance – perform regular reviews of existing programs and plans to ensure full compliance with internal policies and local tax requirements.

Serve as an advisory partner by acting as central point of contact responsible for coordination between payroll, tax, total rewards, mobility, and legal

Maintain and apply effective controls, appropriate segregation of duties and reporting requirements to reduce exposure

Ensure accuracy of financial information; compliance with Company policies and procedures including SOX and other internal control requirements

Stay informed about newly released tax regulations and impact on payroll operations.

Responsible for end to end audits including but not limited to internal, external and/or statutory

Responsible for local requirements as they related to end to end processes pertaining to the GBSC P&C function

Investigate and respond to tax authorities notices

Partner with internal communications to ensure People Business Partners and the business is kept up to date and aligned with company standards


All About You:


Previous experience in compliance

Bilingual abilities are preferred

Strong knowledge of HR, Payroll, Tax, Legal processes, procedures

Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in education and experience with a major concentration in Business, Finance, Tax and/or Human Resources

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across a global organization at multiple levels and business units.

Ability to be flexible in a fast paced, deadline focused, changing environment.

Strong client services mentality and able to develop strong working relationships with your team, internal partners, and vendors to deliver a high-quality service

Demonstrated leadership in complex situations and is viewed as a credible subject matter expert to all levels of senior management

Solid project management experience inclusive of process design and system optimization

Deep understanding and use of key technologies that drive automation and efficiency
