Overview

The EU Open Banking Platform Engineering team is looking for a principal platform engineer to help execute and oversee our cloud native platform. The ideal candidate has experience delivering Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs). Has deep expertise with Kubernetes, AWS and is highly motivated, technically curious, an eloquent speaker, and possesses the ability to lead large technical projects.

In this technical leadership position, you will:

· Partner with architecture, developers, SRE, cloud engineering, business operations to automate everything, improve workflows and design and deliver solutions.

· Oversee execution of our cloud native and platform strategy, working on IDP and CI/CD to Kubernetes and AWS.

· Take responsibility of our developer experience and improve how things get to production.

· Create alignment across multiple departments and groups.

· Push the global vision of our platform forward with architecture and other groups.

· Ensure that the systems meet all security, scalability and compliance standards.

All About You

The ideal candidate for this position should:

· Look at everything through the eyes of our engineers and see their needs and how to make their lives easier, more efficient while enforcing standards and security.

· Has intermediate to advanced knowledge in Kubernetes.

· Understands Linux/Posix systems and strong knowledge of networking fundamentals.

· Has intermediate to advanced knowledge of AWS.

· Has intermediate to advanced knowledge of Terraform.

· Do demos of new features within the platform or demos for business stakeholders.

· Guide and develop out the minimal viable product with architecture and lead engineers on new systems.

· Have a security-first mindset and ideas on how to enable it

· Has experience and thought leadership in Internal Development Platforms and CI/CD.

· Has intermediate to advanced knowledge in development practices and languages including Golang, NodeJS and Python.
