Overview
The Web Platform Operations team is responsible for the Middleware Operations support of mission critical middleware infrastructure for all Web-based applications and services at MasterCard. Our team of Engineers are engaged in the Operations escalations to ensure, along with other vital teams, the stability of the web infrastructure meets MasterCard's requirements for speed to market, security, sizing, performance, and resiliency.

Role
• Operations Support of middleware components such as Tomcat, F5 (BIG-IP), Apache, Java, etc.
• SME support for middleware infrastructure such as Tomcat, Websphere, F5 (BIG-IP), Apache. Responsible for testing and introducing new version releases to Mastercard environments
• Deployment of new F5 AS3 vservers using ansible
• Collaborate with Development & Application Support teams to discuss, analyze, or resolve application and usability issues and suggest engaging the Technology Engineer for any new requirements which are not defined in standard architecture design document (TAD).
• Implement complex security integration utilizing MSSL, mutual authentication, hardware certificates, software certificates, dynamic endpoints, and other security models.
• Participate in the Application's environment shakedown testing and troubleshooting efforts as required
• Document Operations and configuration procedures to allow maintenance and repetition as well as maintaining this documentation.
• On-call rotational support

All About You
• Knowledge of Tomcat, Apache, Java, Websphere, DNS
• Intermediate knowledge of load balancers, F5 AS3 and web application firewalls
• Intermediate knowledge of network, DNS and operating system principles
• Exposure to Pivotal Cloud Foundry is a plus
• Experience with automation using Chef, Ansible and Jenkins
• Strong communication skills
• Detail oriented
