Title and Summary

Senior Software Engineer Overview:
Mastercard is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, and delivery of software solutions. You will define requirements for new applications and customizations while adhering to Mastercard's standards, processes, and best practices.
Your responsibilities will include client-facing activities, such as engaging with clients to understand their needs, providing technical solutions, and ensuring a seamless onboarding and integration experience. Additionally, you will develop, customize, and test applications to align with Mastercard's specifications.
As a Senior Engineer, you will also provide leadership, mentorship, and technical training to other team members.

Role:
• Design, build, and maintain innovative, high-quality, and scalable solutions that adhere to Mastercard standards and meet SLAs.
• Conduct in-depth analyses and propose tailored solutions for non-standard client needs during the integration process.
• Engage with client engineering teams to understand their technology stack and provide technical solutions, ensuring smooth onboarding and integration experiences.
• Analyze existing processes, identify critical gaps, and work with teams to implement robust solutions to improve global scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement technology and product updates needed to scale globally.
• Oversee the entire development process, including planning, documentation, testing, and deployment of high-quality systems.
• Handle system maintenance, monitor incidents, provide on-call support, and resolve issues to maintain optimal performance.
• Stay up-to-date on technological advancements, evaluate new frameworks, and drive the implementation of cutting-edge tools.
• Lead training sessions, create reusable "Use Case" playbooks, ensure effective knowledge transfer, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Promote QA processes, mentor team members, and ensure compliance with security standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to assess and implement new technologies through PoCs.
• Work with multiple engineering teams to gain exposure to various frameworks, technologies, and domain knowledge, contributing to the broader open banking ecosystem at Mastercard.

All About You:
• Proven experience in full-stack engineering within an agile production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the design and implementation of complex features in full-stack applications and large projects.
• Proficiency in web application development using Java, Spring Boot, and front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Node.js.
• Expertise with technologies such as Java/J2EE, React, Angular, TypeScript, Tomcat, Spring Boot, Spring (MVC, IOC, AOP, Security), Maven, Hibernate/JPA, REST, and SQL Server.
• Solid experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON/SOAP-based APIs, and API documentation tools like Swaggeror OpenAPI, along with tools like Postman.
• Experience with Android and iOS technologies, including Android SDK and iOS development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, multi-threading, message queuing, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with design patterns and expertise in JUnit or other automated unit testing frameworks.
• Experience with alerting and monitoring tools, such as Splunk, and proficiency in Git and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of cloud-native development, particularly with AWS.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), along with the ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
