Title and Summary

Senior Software Enginner Overview
The Open API team is responsible for developing and managing innovative API-based products that open up Mastercard's card network data and adhere to Mastercard's Data & Tech Responsibility Principles. Hosted on the Mastercard Developers portal, these API services enable new use cases and solutions that create value for our cardholders and business partners.
The Open API team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Open API responsible for design and development of new and existing solutions and ensure timely completion of project deadlines and milestones for Transaction Notifications API and Bin Lookup API.
The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, self-driven, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, drives collaboration across teams.

As a Senior Software Engineer, Open API, you will:

Role
• Design, develop and implement technical solutions and alternatives to meet business requirements in adherence with Mastercard standards, processes, and best practices.
• Identify and develop new solutions in the Open API space, leveraging & bundling Mastercard's vast array of existing services
• Create scalable enterprise solutions, write performance tests, identify bottlenecks, and capture key insights
• Collaborate with technical partners to identify and scope the opportunities, identify risks, benefits, and constraints
• Represent team in Information Security and Audit policies
• Liaise with other technology and commercial teams to execute.
• Provide SME experience for day-to-day system development and maintenance activities of the team.

All About You
• Strong Java/J2EE and object-oriented design and development skills
• Proven track record of leading, designing and delivering scalable software projects.
• Ability to analyse system side issues and build scalable cloud solutions.
• Passionate about delivering APIs and SDKs that are intuitive and make Developers lives easier.
• Proven track record in Server or Web application development
• You strive to create highly intuitive and responsive products.
• You care about the technical architecture and design - ensuring that the solution is flexibly designed and performs efficiently.
• Highly skilled in verbal and written communication skills with ability to precisely articulate problem space/opportunity.
• Keen to embrace Mastercard's values on decency and excited to bring ‘whole self' to work everyday.
