Title and Summary
Senior Vice President, Enterprise Strategy SVP – StrategyOverview
• The primary responsibility of the Strategy group is to help the company and business develop strategic plans, navigate market changes and identify current and future opportunities utilizing robust competitive insights
Role
• The SVP, Strategy role leads overall strategy for Mastercard Globally
• The role is responsible for working with executive management, business units and regions to develop long-term strategies that support expansion of Mastercard's businesses and advance the company's competitive advantage
• Manage Board communication on strategy as well as the annual strategy agenda including frequent discussions with the CEO, Management team and Board
• Work with the businesses to identify organic and inorganic opportunities the company should pursue
• Provide overall thought leadership on new trends, opportunities and focus areas for the company
• Lead the Global strategy team; actively coach and motivate team to foster development and encourage outstanding results
All About You
• Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
• Management Consulting and/or demonstrated experience in developing and aligning company strategy in a matrixed organization
• Strong relationship management and influencing skills
• Knowledge of financial services and/or payment industry
• Possess strong financial skills with strategic orientation
• Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated executive presence and credibility
• Highly effective people manager with experience in developing people to their fullest
• Knowledge of industry data sources; familiarity with competitive intelligence methods and processes, including financial reporting analysis
• Excellent presentation and writing skills
