Title and Summary

Vice President, Sponsorships & Partnerships Overview
The Consumer Marketing team at Mastercard manages a portfolio of properties and platforms that capitalize on consumer passion to influence behaviours and drive profitability for Mastercard and its issuing bank and merchant partners. By associating with and leveraging leading properties, Partners, and events, Mastercard offers cardholders access to ‘priceless' experiences, building brand preference, driving acquisition, and increasing card usage.

This role is responsible for providing strong leadership, strategic development, and guidance, with full responsibility for the delivery of the strategy, management and execution of Partnerships and Experiences. Working with external Partners, cross-functional teams as well as outside marketing agencies, you will manage sponsorship assets, partnerships, marketing platforms and programs impacting the positioning of the brand and the engagement for B2B, B2B2C and B2C engagement.
Role
• Play a leadership role in the innovation and future evolution of Mastercard's Sponsorships & Partnerships in the Integrated Marketing & Communication organization to support Mastercard's business and marketing initiatives, addressing consumers, issuers, merchants, customer relationship building, and innovation.

• Develop and oversee planning and innovative execution of all on-site activation and event delivery for Sponsorship events and associated partnerships.

• Provide oversight of existing sponsorship and partnership evaluations, deal negotiations, and contract reviews for new partnerships and renewals.

• Manage and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize sponsorship investments and ensure all business objectives are achieved.

• Develop strategy and execution for packaging and asset monetization of properties to ensure a unique, compelling value proposition and customer engagement.

• Support innovation integration and product engagement activation across managed partnerships

• Collaborate with the product team to identify short/long-term adjustments to leverage partnership rights and assets to build products that serve consumer and issuer needs.

• Strongly collaborate with Consumer Marketing and Comms teams to support the development of insights and possible consumer engagement activation

• Accountable for Marketing and Communications creative campaign approvals, ensuring all campaigns, programs, and activities are within partnership guidelines and requirements.
Manage budget, accruals, and payment processing for Partnerships investments

• Ensure all sponsorship properties and partnerships, and associated agencies, follows all internal policies, procedures, and compliance/audit requirements related to sponsorship and asset management.

All About You

• Prior brand experience in Consumer Marketing and Sponsorship marketing, executing against business objectives
• Strong experience in working across cross-functional teams inclusive of brand, legal, digital, media, communications, compliance, product, and philanthropy.
• Experience in managing cross-functional agency teams.
• Enjoy collaboration, across internal constituents and agency teams.
• Experience in emerging technology, digital, social media, and mobile marketing a plus.
• Appreciation of all elements of the marketing mix, working with various integrated marketing communications teams to develop sponsorship-driven programming.
• Experience managing direct reports and being influential over non direct teams
• High attention to details and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and presentation skills.
• Ability/presence to interact with C-Suite executives.
• Ability to manage budgets and payment processing.
• Creative, lateral thinker – ability to harness elements of passion-based assets and access to develop innovative marketing platforms.
• Bachelor's degree and Sponsorship/Partnership marketing experience; MBA Preferred.
