Supervisor, Clinical Services

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Supervisor of Clinical Services is responsible for leading a team of Clinical Team Leaders.  This role will function as a strategic partner, trusted advisor, subject matter expert, and leader to all of our Clinical Team leaders to drive the successful delivery of excellence in health care and support our organizational growth.  This position will be instrumental in developing, refining, and maintaining the roles and responsibilities of the Clinical Team Leader. They will design and deliver clinical strategies as well as provide oversight to the team of Clinical Team Leaders. This individual will collaborate with clinical services and clinical operations leadership to explore and recommend techniques and strategies to build a strong clinical community. Collaboration is critical in this role as the supervisor will work closely with clinicians and business leaders to identify best practices in the delivery of quality care. 



Qualifications

Education Requirements 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. 
  • Master's Degree required OR commensurate experience and satisfactory completion of NP licensure

 

Licensure/Certifications

  • Current NP license in state of practice
  • Board certification by AANP or ANCC
  • Current CPR certification
  • State Driver's License with proof of insurance

 

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in geriatric, adult or family practice setting, 1+ clinical leadership preferred
  • Demonstrated record of consistently achieving clinical performance metrics in current role.

Travel Requirements: Travel required.

  • Must have valid state driver license and be able to drive a car.
  • Must have proof of adequate automobile insurance coverage for the state of residence. 
  • Must be able to travel by public transportation, and airplanes.
  • Must be able to independently travel to assigned locations.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly managers a national network of Clinical Team Leaders
  • Performs in-depth health risk assessments on all assigned members, in nursing facilities, telehealth, and/or in member's homes
  • Precepts new providers and team members as necessary
  • Works collaboratively with Clinical Leadership Teams and providers
  • Compliant with OSHA, State Board of Nursing and Federal DEA Board of regulations
  • Consults with the Recruiting, Operations, and Clinical Leaders to coordinate onboarding/training needs to maintain clinical capacity and meet clinical goals
  • Participates in all mandatory compliance and other training programs, seeks guidance for compliance related concerns and adheres to all applicable laws, regulations and Matrix Medical Network policies and procedures.
  • Dedicates 20% of time performing the duties of a clinical provider and 805 of the time leading, supporting, and educating their national team and collaborating with clinical leadership.  Spends time in the field as business needs dictate
  • Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members regarding processes and procedures, visit quality, effective documentation and performance metrics.
  • Performs quality audits to identify gaps in compliance with plan/company standards and recommend remediation plans
  • Servies as field clinical expert and resource to trouble-shoot problems with assessments, diagnosis, or coding questions
  • Fosters and promotes teamwork and a culture of inquiry and learning
  • Assists Clinical Leadership in communicating policies and procedures, and standard pathway of care
  • Helps Clinical Leadership to coordinate, delegate and leverage Team Lead Resources across the organization
  • Identified and provides suggestions for process improvement opportunities
  • Other tudites as assigned
