Job Summary:

Performs financial analysis duties as well as periodic accounting duties related to broker and internal sales compensation.  This position will collaborate with product, sales, finance, and human resources teams to ensure operational alignment. Applies accounting and prior experience to solve problems and completes special projects.  This is a Hybrid role in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs wide variety of analyses on broker compensation and internal sales incentive programs for Finance and/or Sales management.
  • Designs, builds, and supports departmental databases and processes. Extracts, compiles, and reports complex data for ad-hoc and recurring reporting to other departments, audit queries for department review and completing administrative tasks.
  • Analyzes issues to determine system or procedural problems.  Provides strategic solutions and drives change to enhance functionality.
  • Resolves escalated issues regarding payments, contractual obligations and other matters that develop.  
  • Works independently with third-party administrator and internal IT to ensure programming changes meet requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration major.
  • 4 years progressive accounting or finance experience preferred
  • 2 years experience with commission or incentive payment systems preferred

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong demonstrated Excel skills (SQL preferred)
  • Exposure to accounting systems
  • Demonstrated analytical and organization skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills with ability to interface with all levels of management 
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills
