MedStar Health is looking for an Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment Coordinator to join our team!

The EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the EPSDT program within our Medicaid Managed Care Organization (MCO). This role involves ensuring that eligible members receive comprehensive and preventive health care services as mandated by federal and state regulations. The EPSDT Coordinator will work closely with healthcare providers, members, and internal departments to promote the health and well-being of children and adolescents enrolled in the Medicaid program.

Primary Duties:  

  • Facilitates timely, age-appropriate EPSDT screenings and coordinates necessary appointments, including physicals, immunizations, vision, hearing, and dental services. 

  • Ensures full compliance with EPSDT guidelines, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements, including support during audits and record reviews. 

  • Assists families by making referrals, connecting them with specialty care and community resources, and educating them on EPSDT services and preventive care. 

  • Monitors follow-up appointments, tracks completion of recommended services, and analyzes screening, referral, and utilization data to support quality improvement. 

  • Collaborates with providers, care teams, internal departments, and regulators to enhance EPSDT processes, improve performance metrics, and deliver staff/provider training. 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, social work or related field 1-2 years' Experience in social work, in a hospital setting.  

  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, social work or related field (Preferred)  

  • 1 to 3 year's experience in Medicaid managed care organization. 

  • 1 to 3 year's experience in care coordination, case management or pediatric healthcare. Preferred. 

 

 

 

 


This position has a hiring range of

USD $20.57 - USD $36.27 /Hr.
