MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is looking for a qualified PA candidate to join our growing team of 13 highly skilled Advanced Practice Providers. We offer a supportive team environment with hands-on training from our surgeons, residents, and fellow APP's. This position offers exposure to multiple surgical specialties. We are a Robotic surgery center of excellence, and our new state-of-the-art 14 OR surgical pavilion supports an array of innovations, advanced multispecialty surgical techniques, and cutting-edge medical imaging. This position is solely at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, an academic, tertiary, community-based hospital -- one of the largest community teaching hospitals with busiest ED in the state of Maryland.
Job opportunity is split between inpatient rounding and OR time. Perform a variety of duties such as HxPs as well as providing care to assigned patients. Post-operative rounding is a combination of both fellow surgeons and physician assistants. PAs are first call for consults, independently with attending presence, as needed. Experienced PAs from a surgical field or new graduates with a strong interest in surgery will be considered.
