Inpatient Rehab – O'Neil 5, MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital

Unit Highlights

·       30-bed acute inpatient rehab unit

·       Patient population: stable tracheostomy patients, heparin drips, post-stroke care, joint replacements, limb salvage cases

·       Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1, supported by an average of 3 patient care techs per shift

·       Average length of stay: 10 days, fostering meaningful patient relationships

·       Collaborative, patient-centered team environment focused on measurable rehab goals

·       Scheduling: Full-time nights (7p–7a) or evening/nights mix (3p–11p and 7p–7a), with every third weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities

Deliver skilled nursing care to patients and families with needs ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex. Identify and analyze changes in patient status, address evolving problems, and plan appropriate interventions—delivered directly or coordinated with the nursing team.

Qualifications

·       Nursing degree (ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL)

·       Active MD or Compact RN license

·       BLS certification

This position has a hiring range of $35.00 - $56.91
