General Summary of Position
The Electro-Neurodiagnostic (END) Technician Trainee is given supervised, on-the-job training in performing END studies and testing. This testing includes routine and portable EEGs as ordered by physicians according to established protocols and national ASET & ACNS guidelines, respectively. At approved points in their training the technician may begin to perform these tests independently.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required or
- Associate's degree best if in a science related field preferred
- One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience
- Less than 1 year 6 months of direct patient care experience or equivalent required
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
Licenses and Certifications
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions on all procedures. Able to establish good rapport with patients, public and the staff. Able to work with severely ill patients.
This position has a hiring range of $22.04 - $38.41
