Description
Coordinates and instructs training programs for healthcare professionals. Programs may include American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Life Support (ALS) or American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)/American Heart Association (AHA) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required and
- Credentialed by relevant professional association. required
- 1-2 years Related teaching experience required
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
- Health Services\ACLS INSTRC - ACLS Instructor current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS required or
- Health Services\PALS INSTRC - PALS Instructor PALS instructor certification if supporting ALS training program required and
- Health Services\NRP INSTRC - NRP Instructor AAP NRP certification if supporting NRP training program required
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Effective teaching skills.
