MedStar Medical Group II, LLC d/b/a MedStar Medical Group (“MMG”) has an opening for an Interventional Radiologist to join our team!
Job Duties: Provide patient care services as assigned by the Chair of Radiology, including radiology services in the hospital and ambulatory settings; subspecialty consultations as requested by radiologists and referring physicians; diagnostic and therapeutic services and procedures as appropriate for the physician's training and experience. Assist with departmental administrative ditties as assigned by the Chair of Radiology, including: supervision of the staff of the radiology department; professional and fiscal management of the applicable radiology department; development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the applicable radiology department complies with all external regulatory agencies; development and implementation of the applicable radiology department's policies and procedures to ensure that clinical resources are utilized efficiently and in accordance with responsible clinical and fiscal management principles; and development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures, and standards of care for the applicable radiology department to ensure quality patient care delivery. Support the medical education programs and activities of the applicable radiology department. Support the Chair of Radiology in his/her role as liaison to the private practice community, including: conducting teaching rounds or conferences out of the hospital, particularly if these activities support programs of the applicable radiology department. All such activities shall have the prior approval of the Chair of Radiology.
Requires travel to work at in-patient and out-patient hospital settings in Leonardtown, MD, Clinton, MD, and Washington, D.C. on a regular basis.
Position requires MD degree or foreign equivalent plus completion of 12 months of ACGME-accredited Non-Radiology Residency Training; 48 months of ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency Training; 12 months of Independent Interventional Radiology Residency Training; valid Maryland Medical License; valid District of Colombia Medical License; Board Certification, American Board of Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology.
