General Summary of Position
This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse Position for the Observation Unit at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. Full Time Day shift available.
Unit Description:
Welcome to Medstar Union Memorial, the Heart and Vascular Institute for Medstar Baltimore. The Observation Unit at Medstar Union Memorial is a 25 bed unit that provides care to patients with a variety of illnesses such as chest pain, arrhythmias, renal failure, and congestive heart failure. The unit focuses on an interdisciplinary approach to meet the needs of patients and families. Patients typically spend 24-48 hours on the Observation Unit and the goal is to provide safe patient care and reduce the time of hospitalization. Gain great experience in telemetry, stroke care, and take advantage of the many educational opportunities Medstar has to offer its nurses. 1 year of acute care LPN experience required.

- Post-high-school vocational/specialized training; required and
- completion of accredited program for licensed practical nursing. required
Experience
- 1-2 years Related clinical experience in nursing. required
