General Summary of Position
Provides direct patient care under the general direction of Registered Nurse and/or Advanced Practice provider in Occupational Health. Performs a variety of clinical procedures for assigned clients (employees, employee candidates and contracted vendor employees). Administers medications per established hospital policy/departmental protocol/procedure.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required and
- Completion of a formal Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program required
Experience
- 1-2 years Experience as a licensed practical nurse with previous experience in administering medications and phlebotomy required
Licenses and Certifications
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Valid Practical Nurse license in the State of Maryland or DC required or
- LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Valid Vocational Nurse license in the State of Maryland or DC required and
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good physical assessment skills, triage, and first aid skills.
- Good patient education skills.
- Strong communication skills and intermediate computer skills.
This position has a hiring range of $23.33 - $37.82
