MedStar Health is looking for a Mechanic Journeyman to join our team at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital!
The Mechanic Journeyman is a great option for an Electrician Journeyman looking for a Full-Time position. This individual will work with preventative maintenance on hospital facilities and equipment and some related new construction and renovation work.

Primary Duties:
· Must be able to bend conduit, pull wire, read blueprints, troubleshoot circuit, install, and connect motors, switches, receptacles, electrical panels and lights, conduct assigned preventive maintenance of electrical circuits.
· Assist Master Electrician for monitoring hospitals emergency and normal power sources and for testing emergency generators monthly. Conducts assigned Preventive Maintenance on all electrical power systems and equipment.
· Repairs electrical circuits by replacing defective wiring and components in accordance with the current National Electrical Code.
· Install new wirings, electrical components, mounts motor, fixtures, and other electrical equipment in accordance with the current National Electrical Code.
· Basic Knowledge of the Fire Alarm System. Assist Master Electrician to Operates and maintains on Hospital Critical Equipment: Switchgear, UPS Flywheel, ATS Switches and Generators. Knowledge of programmable controls preferred.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of acceptable training.
- Demonstrated competency in board areas.
- 3-4 years' experience.
- Journeyman Electrician - JOURELEC Journeyman Electrician license.
