General Summary of Position
The Pharmacy Student evaluates drugs prescribed by physicians for appropriateness of dose, therapeutic efficacy, allergy, drug interaction, and contraindications. Maintains accurate and complete documentation of all medicine-use-related activities to ensure appropriate distribution of medications. All areas of responsibility are subject to review by a licensed pharmacist.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
Education

• Pharm.D. student actively enrolled in a program from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy required

Experience

• Less than 1 year 6 months experience in a hospital setting required

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified by a national pharmacy technician certification program required
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Maryland required or has been granted or is eligible for a pharmacy student exemption from pharmacy technician registration by the State of MD required and
• PharmD student actively in a program from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

This position has a hiring range of $17.5 - $28.73
