General Summary of Position
Provides physical therapy services to patients including treatment, training, and equipment recommendations under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist according to the state requirements of which the provider is practicing.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school required and
- Associate's degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. required
Experience
- Prior work experience not required
Licenses and Certifications
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s). required and
- BLS - Basic Life Support American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy; demonstrates independent use of varied treatment approaches.
- Able to work in a team environment; organized, timely, detail-oriented; customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds; takes initiative in following through with all procedures and policies; effective communication; must be able to utilize computer systems
