General Summary of Position
Operating within the Human Resources (HR) Digital Communications department, this role manages the functionality and content of HR's websites and platforms. With the goals of driving digital engagement and improving HR's value proposition with internal and external stakeholders, this individual leads content creation and develops new platform enhancements that drive end user adoption. Seeks strategic opportunities to improve overall user experience (UX) and implements optimization best practices. Responsible for creating branded collateral and supporting systemwide HR digital communications.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Leads all aspects of content development and management as it relates to Human Resources' websites and platforms, with a strong focus on the internal employee portal. Intakes, approves, and fulfills work requests. Responds to user submitted inquiries and feedback through AskHR. Prioritizes activities and needs of various content owners to ensure cohesive and standardized work efforts. Sets clear expectations for delivery of work.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on platform capabilities, role-based provisioning, data tokens, deeplinks, QR codes, API integrations, and mobile enablement. Makes recommendations to improve UX and overall accessibility.
  • Supports HR's Centers of Expertise with delivering on operational and functional goals by interpreting conceptional ideas through phases of content writing, wireframing, branding, development, and implementation.
  • Establishes and oversees the team's content management calendar by facilitating regular audits with content owners and HR Technology.
  • Manages electronic forms for employee transactions, including creation, workflow and rules testing, notifications, and reporting.
  • Monitors product performance and leverages available analytics to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement. Recommends opportunities to drive innovation based on data analysis, research, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Upholds MedStar Health's security standards and conducts testing to validate compliance and protection of personal associate data. Collaborates with Information Technology to safeguard overall site quality.
  • Practices fluency in the MedStar Health brand and MedStar Health employer brand by serving as a HR subject matter expert. Provides guidance and support to ensure the brand's integrity is upheld. Reviews and creates visually appealing HR collateral with a keen eye for brand consistency using established guidelines and design software.
  • Leads the design, rebranding, and quality improvement of resources and content submitted by content owners.
  • Supports the principles of good governance through advocacy, education, and adoption of set behaviors.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting platform functionality issues, conducts user troubleshooting, and assisting in resolution testing. Supports patching, platform maintenance, and monitoring of the HR portal. Tests manually for HTML code errors, broken links, browser compatibility, and spellcheck.
  • Produces and distributes monthly e-newsletters, including HR Fast Facts and HR Monthly Minute, to system-wide populations with the goal of directing traffic to the portal for HR news and information.
  • Partners with the Manager of HR Digital Communications to support systemwide HR initiatives through an integrated communication plan and alignment of monthly messaging on internal platforms.
  • Stays up-to-date on the latest trends in product lifecycle management.
  • Collaborates with web developers, vendors, Information Technology, and HR Technology to create UAT test case scenarios, provides back-end support to facilitate UAT testing, and ensure overall site optimization, including, but not limited to, SEO, browser compatibility, validation, and usability.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Design, Communications, or related field required

    Experience

    • 4 years of experience in website development and content management required
    • Experience in corporate branding, marketing, and communications required
    • Interest or experience in health care innovation and emerging technology preferred

    Licenses and Certifications

    • Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI within 1-1/2 Yrs required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Must have strong AP writing, customer service, and oral communication skills. Analytical, organized, detail-oriented, and efficient - often managing multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders at one time. Ability to set priorities, think strategically, make recommendations in the moment, work independently and lead in various groups, and readily adjust to change on a daily basis. Proven track record for delivering projects and completing tasks on time. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and e-form development. Skilled in content management and creation, governance, branding, defining product requirements, wireframing, UX testing, HTML, and mobile enablement. Highly motivated self-starter with a sense of ownership, willingness to learn, innovative thinker, and desire to succeed. Strong understanding of Internet technologies and stays regularly informed of industry changes and advances.


    This position has a hiring range of $63,793 - $113,318
