General Summary of Position

 

Provide safe and effective transport of patients to and from the Radiology Department. Assist other radiology staff in the maintenance and upkeep of the Radiology equipment, area, and supplies. 

Primary Duties: 

 

  1.  Transports patients to and from Radiology in a friendly, safe, and efficient manner.

  2.  Writes patients in and out of Radiology on the transport log and has the patient's nurse sign them off the floor.

  3. Routinely maintains and cleans equipment. Keeps rooms neat and clean, and stocked with supplies.

  4. Reports any problems or questions to the patient's nurse and supervisor and monitors patients in the waiting area and calls for assistance if needed.

  5. Logs in requests and maintains accuracy of terminal digit numbering system for exam reference and distributes Pregnancy Screening Forms.

  6. Routinely maintains and cleans equipment. Keeps rooms neat and clean, and stocked with supplies and reports faulty equipment to the supervisor for repair right away.

  7. Courteously answers phone calls and takes accurate messages and sorts filing materials, prepares file folders, and accurately places them into the filing system.

 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  •        High School Diploma or GED required.
  •        Current CPR or Basic Life Support through American Heart Association required.
  •        Less than 1 year 6 months previous healthcare experience preferred.
