Overview:
The Director Clinical Research for non-oncology Mercy Research, provides administrative leadership, strategic planning, and operational management for clinical research teams. They oversee all aspects of research, including clinical trial opportunities, study coordination, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Hybrid: Mostly remote anticipate onsite Mercy Facilities up to 20%.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a nursing, health or other clinical field
Experience: 7 years of people management/leadership experience with business and operational background in a healthcare setting
Other skills and experience:
Must have demonstrated expertise in research;
Self-starter who enjoys creating and innovating in a hands-on manner, adapting quickly to any situation;
Vision that helps identify industry problems and natural solutions that will yield business opportunities;;
Strong organizational, motivational and collaborative modern management style based on compassion, integrity, and trust;
Ability to convey concepts to subject matter experts and non-technical professionals;
Participates in strategic planning to grow business
Strong level of knowledge related to regulatory requirements for healthcare research involving pharmaceutical and medical device technology
Experience managing clinical research within a regulated environment
Ability to travel up to 25% of time.
Preferred Education: Master's or higher degree in specialty field such as healthcare
Preferred Licensure: Registered Nurse with valid license in state of practice.
Preferred Experience: diverse background in people and project management in a large healthcare setting
Preferred Certification: Specialty research certification such as CCRC/CCRP
