Description
Find your calling at Mercy! The EMS Liaison Educator will promote growth, provide educational assistance, and will be the liaison between hospital facilities and EMS agencies. This position will assist in EMS education planning, conduct audits on patient care and documentation, oversee patient transport follow-up, and facilitate the establishment of policies and procedures for EMS districts, reporting to Mercy Hospitals. Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
• Completion of an accredited E.M.T. & Paramedic program.
Experience:
• At least 3 years EMS prehospital experience.
Licensure:
• Current license in state of practice as EMT/Paramedic.
Certifications:
• Hazmat Awareness, BLS for Healthcare Providers, NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800 within 90 days of hire.
Physical Requirements:
• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience.
Experience:
• AHA Instructor experience, such as CPR or ACLS instructor.
