This program is designed to provide students with various opportunities to grow professionally, receive financial assistance, and experience a smoother transition to practice post graduation. The program will pay up to $10,000/year for 1 year of pre-reqs and 2 years of the Nursing program. Eligible expenses include tuition, books (including shipping and taxes), registration/lab/technology fees, clinical scrubs, etc.

 

You may be enrolled in Nursing pre-reqs or the Nursing program itself to qualify. Previous transcripts and a letter of recommendation will be required to be considered.

Please submit (1) letter of recommendation and an unofficial transcript (if applicable) to Megan.Schoeber@Mercy.Net. This will be required before you are able to schedule an interview.

 

 

Note that you will be:

  • Required to work at least 16 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks) in a Patient Care Associate, Nurse Technician or similar role.
  • A contract will need to be signed stating that you will remain at the Mercy facility you have chosen for 1-3 years after graduation. The commitment time is dependent on how many years of school Mercy will be funding.

 

The deadline for Spring applications is December 1, 2025.
