Overview:

 

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled nurse to join our Non-Invasive Cardiology department. The successful candidate will assist with stress testing, stress echocardiograms, and nuclear stress testing. This role requires a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who can provide exceptional patient care and support our cardiology team.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and administration of stress tests, including treadmill and pharmacologic stress tests.
  • Perform stress echocardiograms, ensuring accurate imaging and patient comfort.
  • Assist with nuclear stress testing, including the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and monitoring of patients.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms during procedures, responding to any changes promptly.
  • Educate patients about procedures, answering any questions and addressing concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all procedures and observations.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with advancements in cardiology care.
  • Scheduling of outpatient and inpatient TEEs.

     

    Performing pre-procedural assessments.

     

  •  

    Assisting in the perioperative phase of TEEs and CVs.

  •  

    Recovering patients postoperatively

  •  

    Providing discharge instructions and education prior to patient discharge

 

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Previous experience in cardiology or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of non-invasive cardiology procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Prior experience performing conscious sedation under physician supervision is preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
  • Manual dexterity to operate medical equipment.

 

Work Environment:

  • Hospital or clinical setting.
  • Exposure to patients with various cardiac conditions.
