Exciting New Incentives: 

 

Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum. 


Overview:

 

The Sonography Supervisor functions as a highly experienced sonographer, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician and reporting to a PMIII or PMIV, Director and MMFHC Medical Director. The Sonography Supervisor is responsible for the overall daily management of the sonography services provided across all Mercy Clinic OB/GYN-East practice locations, with responsibilities extending beyond those of a Staff or Lead sonographer and is focused on providing leadership to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe and efficient patient care. The Sonography Supervisors activities are performed in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable professional standards.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from a nationally accredited school of sonography, certification in all required sub-specialties. AAS or BS preferred.
  • Licensure: RDMS certification in 3 or more applicable registries.
  • Experience: 3+ years hospital or 5+ years clinic based experience working as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • Certification/Registration: Must have successfully completed certification of registration as required by the ARDMS.
  • Other Skills and Knowledge: Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care for the designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a sonographer in the department as needed. Assumes managerial duties as delegated by a manager, assists with coworker scheduling and has input in coworker evaluations. Performs all duties and responsibilities consistent with Mercys mission, vision and values.
  • Preferred Education: Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited school of sonography.
